Faith must indeed come first, as St. Paul teaches us, but even those who would begin with Paul and dismiss James as an epistle of straw dare not forget Christ's own words as quoted in Matthew 25:31ff.

Good Morning to you

Yes, Good works are a follow up after The Holy Spirit. Can we say that Work inspired by the Holy Spirit is always a good work. First comes Grace through Jesus Christ and then only, we can do any good work. Thank you so much for explaining it so beautifully.

And truly, He is the only Bridge that we have. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life

My understanding has always been that works are an inseparable part of it, which is what James seems to have been responding to:

James 2:14-17:

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you? If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill’, and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

24, 26:

You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead.

Yes that is right. Works is an inseparable part. Some are saved and then sit and do nothing for the Lord. That's what they are talking about there, however, some take that verse to mean that one is saved by works along with faith, but one must accept Jesus as Savior, in order to be saved and for their works to take effect. Works come after one has been saved. That's where the confusion comes in with some. Works mean nothing without faith and salvation coming first. Some people think they can earn or work their way to heaven but that is not what scripture says.
Does this mean that almost all Asians go to hell just because their cultures are different?

@AnnaStar Those who know what's right and don't follow right will definitely. Europeans were Romans and Greek. Only thing is Europeans accepted The God and a few Asians never.

For your info, Phillipines is a Christian nation by religion. But Christianity is much more than mere religion. It's a way of life.
