@Horsefrost Are you sure you're sober? BC I don't know what you mean. "Doctor's prescription page"?
Horsefrost · 46-50, M
@MoveAlong No doubt you don't understand the post either.
@MoveAlong Sometimes it's necessary to go into detail, or people won't understand why we believe what we believe and it's important not only to know what we believe, but especially why, or we will fall for any wind of doctrine.

Grace
A beautiful post of yours.
This is my understanding so far. Please correct me if you find me wrong.

Baptism can be categorized in 2 different ways.

1) Physical Baptism by a Preacher or pastor in a Church (PB)

2) Spiritual Baptism By The Holy Spirit (SB)

While Physical Baptism can be forced on someone. Example is Kids young age, their parents may take them to a Local Church and get the baptized by water. This is Baptism of just Body.

Whereas Spiritual Baptism is The Baptism of Soul. It can not be forced on anyone. It converts a person from inside. That's why Spiritual Baptism is often referred to as "Born Again". It is the birth of A new Spirit inside a person who has faith in Jesus Christ, who loves Jesus Christ, unconditionally.
@DanielsASJ Paul said, physical baptism doesn't convert anyone from the inside. If one could get saved by physically going to get baptized, that would be works-based salvation, which Paul spoke against.

@LadyGrace Maybe I am unable to explain but what you commented just now is what I actually mean.
@DanielsASJ It's not baptism of the Soul. It's baptism of the Spirit. That is, the minute we receive Christ as Savior, our DEAD SPIRIT is completely transformed by the HOLY SPIRIT, bringing our spirit ALIVE in Christ, which saves one's soul. We have a brand new life in Christ and a brand new beginning in him.

Plus, self salvation is confusing as well. It's like you work hard to get to heaven, but somebody else works harder for heaven...

And then another person said No!!!! I work harder!!!!

How does that even makes sense?

Christ's Salvation for all of us makes complete sense.
@FreestyleArt So right. Perfect sense. ❤🫂🙏

Amen, sister, amen. Beautiful post.. Jesus said that we must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. We must be born of water and the Spirit in order to enter there in.
@GodSpeed63 Some people take John 3:5 to mean we must be baptized in order to be saved and enter heaven. I just want to reiterate that the act of Baptism doesn't save people. It is a response or public declaration of your faith and full belief in Christ. Without full, sincere repentance before God, one is not saved. You can be saved by God without baptism. Like the thief on the cross.

Jesus said to baptize, so we should, but it isn't a requirement for salvation. If someone is never able to get baptized, that doesn't mean they're not saved.

He was not referring to literal water (i.e. baptism or the amniotic fluid in the womb), but was referring to the need for spiritual cleansing or renewal. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Baptism is a symbolic representation of a believer's spiritual cleansing and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a symbolic washing away of sins and a representation of new life in Christ. If people had to be baptized before they could enter heaven, then a lot of people would miss it, because for one reason or another, they might have died before they could get baptized. Jesus promised the thief on the cross, who made public confession that he believed Jesus was his Savior, that he would be with him that very day in Paradise.

Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

This verse emphasizes that salvation is a free gift received through faith, not through any works, including baptism.

Romans 3:22 and 4:5 also highlight that salvation is received through faith, not through works of the law.

The trap of legalism is that when people constantly split hairs trying to to be so perfect comparing themselves to others and end up arrogant as a result.
@cherokeepatti Not sure what you mean. I don't think it's people comparing themselves to others. It has to do with interpretation, allowing the Holy Spirit to rightly divide the word, and following what God said to do in His word. In his word he says that baptism does not save and I think that's very important to know when it comes to Salvation and our Eternal destination.

@LadyGrace some people do, and they are hard to be around when they do.
@cherokeepatti Some people do. As long as the Word of God is spread, the function is done. God's will needs to carried out by all. Rich, poor, arrogant, simple, people with attitude, people without attitude. God's word is the essence. God uses as he wills, as a carrier. That's not arrogance. That's service to God, as long as they tell God's truths. Paul doesn’t believe, as shown in scripture, that baptism saves. He wasn’t comparing himself to others, splitting hairs, nor arrogant.
