Indeed they did a little while back and the waters which are in the Earth is more than the waters on the Earth.
That can also explain where the waters from the flood of Noah went to I mean after all he did call up the waters from the deep.
Scripture also tells us that God made dry land appear in the midst of the waters.... According to Harvard college they have found evidence the Earth was once a water world and no land was visible.
