I Think Indoctrinating Children With Atheism Is Child Abuse

It's not okay to force children to believe in things. I'm not religious, mind you, and I'm personally against religion in general. But if my kids want to grow up believing in religion, I ain't got any right to stop them. The same goes the other way around. I know I got harassed as a kid for being against my Christian Family. It's not cool to do this to kids, especially at such a young age when they're so impressionable. Sure. You can force them to believe. But do you know what you're doing when you DO force them? You're not letting them convince themselves, oh no; you're making them afraid of their reasons. You call that love? If so, I apologize, but your child shouldn't fear God. Thank you for reading this. Have a nice day. :)

Being a former Christian I totally agree with this. I'm an anti-theist now. From my early childhood onward, I had these dogmas instilled in me so deeply. It's damaging to let these delusions take root in such a young mind. They're so hard to get out. It can happen however. But when you're brainwashed well before critical thinking kicks in, it's just not fair.

I've learned to still have faith and follow Jesus without subscribing to religious dogma; it's a delicate balance.

Parents are supposed to teach kids HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
