But the whitewashing is nearsighted, and a damn shame.

They were a refreshing nod to creativity and urban renewal.

But the whitewash is a statement in itself.
In the community that I live most people are on benefits, handouts from the government. They expect these, and will not work. Walking about town depressed.
Vibrancy and creativity does not come into their thinking.
The council reflects this thinking.
