I read up on the history of dolls and doll making yesterday and it has made me appreciate them even more. We take for granted so many of the simple things that use to have such a significance in the past.

Very true, there is so much artwork and creative work that was done in the "old days" that has sadly died with the people from that generation😞

My grandmother was a doll maker. She was very good.

@jaymic64 That's wonderful my mom has told me stories about how my great grandmother made dolls and would crochet clothes for them. I never got a chance to meet her but, I think that's where my love of doll came from.
