I Am a Democrat
He was not my favorite politician, but I was bummed to hear George Herbert Walker Bush died. I have been thinking ALOT lately about something one of his granddaughters said. It was probably an excerpt from the book Jenna and Barbra wrote. I don't know which one I'm about to quote so I'll refer to her as J/B.
J/B told a story about when her father was POTUS and she was in college, not doing too great in some class. The professor said something like, "J/B, talk your father into supporting gay marriage and I'll give you an A." I'm not trying to preach for or against gay marriage here and I don't think J/B was either, BUT I LOVE the point she made, which was Nobody should be held accountable for anyone's ideas except their own.
I HOPE the class was Government, or Sociology, or some dog gone subject where anyone's opinion about gay marriage might have been relevant.
