Lol, i went to see 42 many many times before they became mega famous. This is one of my fav tracks along with Heathrow and Love Games.

Early Tapes Album also very good.

@Ironicman I feel old !
I was working in East London in '83 and got tickets for a gig at Brixton Academy one night after work.

It was brilliant.
Always found Phil Gould's comments about 'Not wanting to be part of selling out your music for the sake of money and fame' interesting.
Especially when you consider how 'radio friendly' their later stuff has been.

@Picklebobble2 i know how you feel. I was really in to jazz funk in the early/ mid 80s. Every time they came to play Fairfield Halls, Croydon (not far from the Academy) I was there, standing - front row. I think King was the only one comfortable with their later pop status. I must try and go see them again (current line up) at one of these 80s fests.

They feature on my playlists regularly. Yeah, feel old but this and early albums are raw and kick.
