I Want a Lover Who Is Also My Best Friend

Apart from the physical aspect in having a lover, being a girlfriend or boyfriend is in a way, a surface level quality. But being a best friend involves a lot more understanding and acceptance. It goes deeper than holding hands or going places together. Realistically it's knowing who that person is and loving him because he makes you better, you feel more whole in his presence. I wouldn't imagine making decisions without his insight and he couldn't imagine not having me there. Together, we would have each other's best interests in mind because we wouldn't be afraid to intervene when our thoughts can't be trusted. It's easy to separate the idea of a relationship from the idea of a friendship, a friendship should last a lifetime, you cant have a friendship without a relationship, but you can't have a relationship without friendship.
