Will Metric time ever be adopted by every country in the world?

BlueVeins · 22-25
No, the whole point of the metric system was to standardize units of measure intranationally and internationally. Time is almost entirely standardized as it is, so adopting meteric time makes extremely little sense. Also, the idea of 10 hours a day isn't the best because a tenth of a day is too long for most activities, so almost nothing that you do other than sleeping would encompass an entire deciday (working is really a collection of activities, and thus does not count). It would just be kind of an awkward unit on the day-to-day.

@BlueVeins not sure I can visualize your logic, as on Metric time 3 hours could easily be a working day. Metric time is adaptable just as the Metric system is also adaptable. In Europe we use the Metric system all the time (not Metric Time) and it works perfectly.

I think it's everywhere but two countries, right? We're close, but I don't know if it'll be any time soon.

@U53RN4M3 😂 it’s ok man. I had to actually look up what metric time is first before playing smartass

@SW-User I do that often.

Let’s just get rid of daylight savings first

@SW-User good idea

@usher I had either sent it to a friend or family member not too long ago and then I saw your post so nice of you to bring it to SW as I don’t think I got that far. Thank you 🙏
Just noticed that our.clocks are displaying the same time too! 🤓

@2cool4school Nice of you to say, and good observation too. (I wonder what time it is in analogue time, lol)

@usher pretty sure that it’s almost. 8.20
I’m just not sure what time of the day that it is to the corresponding 12 hour analog clock.
