Curiosity is an instinctual thing. There is no motivation that overpowers its inherent nature as that 'thing you must be'. It then becomes irrelevant whether you are curious about something to confirm or contradict your existing beliefs or ideas. You are either curious by nature or about something specific, or you're not. So I don't think it requires or can hold a sub classification as 'real' or 'fake' curiosity.

Exactly. Also, even if you don't find anything to disagree with now, you shouldn't close yourself off to considering it in the future when you have a different perspective. Sometimes we don't see what's wrong if the whole area is uniformly wrong, but when we take a larger step back, we can more easily see what needs refinement or removal.
Keep up your quest for truth, it's good to have that in the world!

Please do :) It keeps you young and heart, mindful and appreciative of the life you are given. you know more than those who are not curious, because curiosity leads to learning and as you know, one never stops learning; unless one closes their mind.
