I've Had My Shoes Taken Off Me

Growing up it was the way of my mother to take away my shoes/sandals for the summer and have me go around in my bare feet. I didn't really care at all and in fact quite enjoyed the fredom, it was the way back then and most of my friends were barefoot too. I love this so much I practice this with my 3.

My mother packed away our school shoes at the start of the holiday and we were quite happy going around with nothing on our feet for those six weeks. My sister and I were magnets for mud and dirt when we were outside, so the less we were wearing the easier it was to clean us up afterwards!

@GentleLucille Such a good mother. It was the same for me too the first day of the school holidays all my shoes and socks suddenly vanished and I spent the entire summer barefoot

@BarefootMum me son-in-law told me my grandson (his son) wouldn't walk on grass in bare feet .. .. I smiled and said he does just fine when he is with Pop ..
