I Have Done Crazy Things With My Best Friends

A few years ago there were three other people and myself all holed up in my friends apartment for several days. We were all on a multi-day bender. The first two to three days are always great. By the third day I looked and felt my best despite having practically zero sleep. I was hilarious, in good spirits and I really hit my stride. The fourth and fifth days were the worst. Emotions start running high, Crying for no good reason, tempers flaring over stupid stuff. I swear this is the time people feel the need to bare their souls to one another. You know? Really speak their minds. Yeah you were a horrible roommate and here's why. Remember the time you threw a boot at my head let's talk about it. Lots and lots of arguing happens on the 4th day.

Onto the fun part known as day number five. Everyone at this point is sinking to new lows. We were a depraved bunch during this time. Out of drugs we began searching the place for anything that might have fallen or got misplaced. Hey it's happened before. We've found bags of coke under couch cushions before. We all began to search. We and I am not joking searched the couch and I mean searched. We tore the upholstery all apart looking. We tore apart jackets, dumped out cereal boxes, searched through the trash even the neighbors trash. Someone nearly started dismantling the sink plumbing. Well they almost started until someone in the group thinks they might have knocked a bag behind the radiator. Yes, the apartment building was old and still had radiators for heat.

Sure enough there was a bag there but we couldn't reach it. The person in the group with the skinniest arms tried to get it but all she got was burned. We tried getting it out with a hanger but it only pushed it down further practically under the floorboards. We then decided to rip the radiator out of the floor to get to it. We were not in our right state of minds okay this sounded fantastic at the time. We were DESPERATE okay. With a hammer, a screw driver and a crowbar all four of us managed to remove that thing. It took a long time but we did it. Unfortunately all our poking with the hanger shoved it into the crevice between the wall and the floor. Someone took the crowbar and started ripping floorboards up. They had got about two or three rows deep when my friends roommate came home and asked us all what we were doing. He wasn't even mad just confused. The place looked like a war zone and I felt embarrassed. We were sweaty, dirty, one had burns on her arm, we looked like a sad bunch.

That was when I saw it sitting on a plate on top of the fridge. It was some forgotten coke. When I pointed it out no words could describe how sheepish we all felt. We all emerged from our little party alive, ashamed but alive. I practically left weighing 27lbs (not really) but I lost weight.

This will forever live on as one of the worst and best moments of my life. I'm still surprised nobody wound up dead either from an overdose or from fighting with one another. We were getting sassy in there.
Omg i feel like im
