I Am Eastern European

I come from a beautiful country. Yes that country what I knew before is long gone.
Happy, careless childhood. Travelling all over Europe and everyone lived in harmony. Then something horrible happened, what no one belived it will. WAR the most horrible word it can be. That country fell apart,people hated each other,simply because of different ethnicity.
I left, left my home town,family,friends,left behind everything. Why? Because wanted a better future, mostly for my son. That was 22 years ago. I am home sick many days. I go to visit but can't ever live there again.

@luv2fly352 that war was between Iran and Iraq... no Americans were involved.... later on after years, US attacked Iraq not Iran..

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Wars are horrible things. In reality every one loses in war. There are never true winners in my outlook. Especially women and children. Hope you have found a very beautiful place for you and your children even though this happened many years ago.
