Can someone help me reason?

I come from a very rough and tough family bloodline. My dad and brother will snap and kick the crap out of anyone for any arguably small reason. Personally, I've been sheltered. I'm muscular but never been in a fight.

So here's where I'm getting at. At the bar I go to, there's a guy whom I have reason to believe may try to hurt me (if you want details on that, please ask, but it's kinda long). I don't want to avoid the bar just because of him. I'm tempted to try to beat him up. I want to be like my bro and dad.

Please be honest with me. Is it a bad idea to get physical? My mind is clouded with anger and a desire to be tough like my family.

Ok I have been in plenty of bar fights... Im a security guard and worked as a bouncer for years. Bar fights are nothing like in the movies. They always look ugly, i dont even care what martial skills you have and never assume you will win a fight. Also if you do be aware that he might get you next time with a group of friends an weapon, who knows. Its ok to defend yoursef or others, but never let anger cloud you judgement. Where possible, if your really man enough, straight up politely ask why he has an issue and resolve it like a gentleman.

It's bad because your planning on getting physical, not to mention violence solves nothing...just because you "Beat him up" dosent mean you've solved the problem...really you'll only be making it worse for yourself in the future. So i suggest you either find a new bar or get the authorities if necessary I guess...
