I've been suffering a huge several days and nights long anxiety attack. I am feeling scared, and very lonely. I've been sweating cold sweat, shaking all over, heart pounding. I can't eat although I am quite hungry--NO appetite at all. No sleep in days/nights.

So...today I went in to my health care provider's psychiatric offices for an evaluation. I was asked a lot of questions by a psychologist. One of them was, "Have you ever wanted to hurt anyone?"

That is an uncomfortable question; after all, one criteria for committing people is if they're a danger to others. But I need help, so I just told the truth.

I said, "I have been angry enough to want to punch someone, but I've never seriously considered actually doing it." And I added that in my 73 years I have never hurt or threatened anyone.

He stared at me. I got nervous. I added, "I think everyone has wanted to hurt someone at one time or another, if only for a minute."

He said that was not so. He said that he had never wanted to hurt anyone.

I said, "C'mon, haven't you ever had a moment where you felt like punching someone right in the nose?"

He said, "No."

He insisted he had never been angry enough to want to hurt someone. I commented that he must be a very calm kind of guy.

So...what about this?
I think ALL emotions are valid. You cut one out, and all the others suffer. I've seen it....people who are always so calm...yet nothing excites them either.

I don't trust doctor's. They are now the bottom feeders along with lawyers.

Well, I've been there, a few times....but I'm really excellent at throwing cups, hairbrushes and chairs.....although , to be honest I slapped someone recently 🙄
