"If you can drink like a gentleman, we take our hats off to you." The Big Book of AA chapter 3 perhaps slightly paraphrased

my question: Is there an official definition of "drinking like a gentleman"? To hear some people talk, they seem to think it's impossible for someone to drink a beer or 2 just because they want to drink a beer or 2 and they can drink a beer or 2 without NEEDING to have 8 or 10.
