Yes, I've had very abstract disturbing dreams that seem to be little more than the fear region of my brain going haywire. Typically those involve some kind of sleep paralysis as well.

Yes physically painful or waking up with the pain still lingering on your body, it was weird as hell

During emotional trauma

I've had "the old hag" sit on my chest, and I've literally been drug around and pushed around by entities in the past. These were not imaginary though. The 'old hag' nearly took my life, and the entities that drug me and pushed me around were as real as rain.
