Question for the ladies

Have you ever tried using a menstrual cup? I think the popular one is called a Diva cup. And if so, did it work for you? How was the experience?

Yes. It worked fine for me, no problems...except obtaining it which proved to be ridiculously difficult back in the mid 1970s. A whole story in itself! But the cup worked out A-OK.

@greenmountaingal I should mention that, back then, it was referred to as a cervical cap which also was used instead of a diaphragm for birth control. But it's the same thing as what you describe.

@LikeTheSun Obtaining it was the only "scary" part. It was not usually available back then. I had to join a certain really weird, outright bizarre, experimental women's study group to get it.

I just use pads because there is less risk of toxic shock or whatever else you can get with tampons or cups. I think it would be like damming up a river in a storm and hoping the dam wouldn't break.

I am curious enough to try it just once although I'd imagine it to be uncomfortable. I simply use pads though.
