Insurance rates?

Hmmm....mine stayed the same, in the lowest risk pool. But every other plan my insurer offers increased by at least 20%, some as much as doubled.

I think my employer was eating the cost for a couple years until now.

But nobody is going to fix the healthcare system because they're all much too afraid of pissing off big pharma, so oh well.

I have Medicaid and it sucks ass trust me if you have any major health problems (I do) it is more than worth the expensive cost to have decent health insurance (private) as they usually cover stuff pretty well and you can see most any doctor you want thereby ensuring that you can see someone if your doctor doesn’t have any openings soon enough

@Ryanoliver2011 I used to have GOOD insurance when I worked federally. Now I have this and I wonder if I should even bother paying for it. The dental and vision coverage are decent, but the health coverage is awful. If I need less than $500 worth of care per month it's pointless. For some people I'm sure that's a deal, but for me, having used a whopping $100 worth of medical care all year, (which is probably $20 worth of actual care), I just have to wonder. I guess I'm helping pay for the other people in the system, and for the insurance company's profit margin.

@Xuan12 that’s exactly what is wrong with socialized medicine. You shouldn’t foot the bill for someone else’s insurance nor should you be forced to buy it if you don’t want to
