Shoulder Cuff Tear advice?

I've recently suffered from extreme/intense on&off shoulder pain, it aches and at times the pain radiates throughout my arm, it even made my arm numb and "tingle". I went to the doctor of course and they say it could possibly be a shoulder cuff tear, anyone suffer from this? Any advice on how to take care of it? So far All I have is a sling and strong meds.

Because I am a painter, I used to have that symptom too, on my right shoulder and arm. It was diagnosed as [i]frozen shoulder.[/i] It was managed with oral pain reliever, muscle relaxant, and a shoulder strap. I didn't experience it again.....Idk, your case may be different .
