I Like Serene and Quiet Places

If anyone were kind enough to tell me the name of a tree with fruits like these, I'd be grateful. I tried searching online for it to no avail.

When I read books with descriptions of crisp autumn leaves and winter chills, I can only imagine them. Now that I have seen them, I can appreciate better what I read. A place with seasons is always so beautiful.

I'm afraid I don't know what that tree is.
You speak like someone who has not experienced Autumn. Why is that Novmoon ?

It's ok. I live in the tropics in East Asia, Singapore. It is hot and humid all year round. The only variations we see in the weather are whether it is going to be sunny, cloudy or rainy.. The landscape does not change much here. At least not the natural one with the changing hues of the leaves in the trees. On the other hand, the physical landscape changes every week. In the two months that I went to Europe, there were three new underground train stations newly opened and a new road built. I do not enjoy living in the city. @Wraithorn

@novembermoon Thank you for explaining and please excuse my ignorance of where you live.
I agree that living in a city is no good. I consider cities to be rather stressful.
Humidity also sucks so I stay away from coastal areas in my country. I prefer higher altitude near mountains if possible.

I feel that living closer to nature makes me feel more like I am a part of this world. Living in a city makes me fell separate from it.

I hope you get to experience and enjoy more places away from the city

Agree so much with what you say here. I feel more like a human in the countryside and more like a work machine in the city. I wish there were more quiet places near where I live. @Wraithorn

@novembermoon I understand. Many yrs ago I lived in Johannesburg which is one of the biggest cities and in South Africa. It's probably also much smaller than Singapore. I spent about 2 yrs there and spent that whole time trying to get transfered away from there. Eventually I succeeded.
A few yrs back I lived in a tiny little village next to the Drakensberg mountains. For reasons of recreation people from Jo'burg used to come to this village quite often.
Their general behaviour indicated quite clearly that the city is stressful. It would take them a few days to slow down, stop speaking so loudly and just be calm. Cities are mentally and physically unhealthy places.

@Wraithorn I am smiling at your description of city people. It's true. There is that sense of urgency and always rushing. It's not normal really for human beings to be like that, I think. I crave the quietness of trees when I get away from here.

@novembermoon I understand. 🙂 Trees are therapeutic.

@novembermoon You talking about trees reminded me of some tree pics I saw that you might enjoy. The pics were coincidentally taken by someone with the surname Moon.

Here's a link if you haven't already seen them.
