I Think Personal Hygiene Is Important

It's important for your own health, but even more important when you live with other people that they do not have to put up with your poor hygiene and body odour 馃槦

Little girls may be made of sugar and spice, but it also seems that they are allergic to soap and water. We wage a daily battle to persuade the 9-10 year olds in our house to shower and change their clothes when they need to. It is good that young girls are not afraid to run about or get their clothes dirty, but that does not excuse them from taking a bath when they need it 馃檮

I think not that "personal hygiene" is importent. The mania of washing and cleanliness nowadays is very sick. Children have a natural resistance instinct against hygiene and I think kids should stay dirty when they would it. This is also healthier for they as daily baths.

@ChildOfNature We don't ask them to shower/bath every day, just to make sure that they don't smell too bad and that they don't wear their favourite underwear every single day without washing it 馃檮

It's interesting how little kids, male and female, see no need for clean clothes or soap and water a bath, wash their hair or clothes at all for that matter.

@jackson55 It's horrible when you have to live with them 馃槦 We round up all the girls who haven't washed at the end of the week and shove them in the shower. They are not allowed out until they are sparkling from head to toe 馃槵

[@ I've never encountered that but there was a time when I thought my grandkids, two girls, we're headed that direction.
