I Look Younger Than I Am

I still look like a teenager. I looked twelve to fourteen till I was about 18 or 19. Now people think I'm sixteen to eighteen, which is a little better. Less people talk to me as if I am a child and take me seriously. But what's even weirder was when I went to the library today. There was a school trip held there and the students were teens. I blended right in! It felt so awkward and I hoped the teacher didn't mistake me as a student. Well the library was closed anyway, except to the students and voters (my town is having an emergency elecetion), so I had to leave anyway.

I cannot explain how awkward I felt. It feels even weirder when a teen boy says I'm cute. I appreciate the compliment but I'm too old for him and it makes the situation extremely awkward. I just say a quick thank you and hurry off. :/
