I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

I had a strange realization today, I am more like my Dad than I thought I was. I like to cook for my son and make special foods for him. My Dad used to do this for us as a way of showing his love and I realized today I am doing the same thing with my son. I made him pumpkin spiced muffins last night because he said he missed my muffins. He's leaving to stay with his Dad this week so then I decided I was going to make him a huge going away dinner (he stays with his Dad every other week now so it's not like it's a special occasion) of Roasted Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn. He said it was like Thanksgiving in Summer. Not only did I make all that food and muffins I also sent all the leftovers with him to his Dad's. My Dad used to do this same thing when we would stay with him and he would even drop food off at my Mom's because she was a horrible cook and sometimes wouldn't even feed us at all. Oy Vey I've become like my Dad in this regard but at least this is one of his more sweet traits.
