I Am Curious

What is your IQ score? http://www.free-iqtest.net/score.asp
Mine is 138. I'm annoyed by a certain question because it was a trick and was worded in a way one would answer incorrectly. Other than that, I feel it's a pretty good and fun little IQ Test.

Sterling, one of the questions says if the two pieces below were put together, which would they look like. It does not mention anything about rotating the pieces, and I feel like if it had done so I would have answered differently instead of going on solely what the question asked. I don't think their purpose is to trick but to be difficult to answer.
AnnaKarenina · 31-35, F
True, but this wasn't a matter of it being ambiguous or confusing. I looked at the question as it was presented, saw that they wanted me to piece the two images together, saw that if they were put together as it suggests that there will be 3 white squares, and selected that answer. Had it informed one that the images in the model might be switched around before piecing them together, I would have looked for that and gotten it correct within seconds.

I'm not sure if I want psychiatrists documenting my information. IQ tests are misleading and don't fully reflect on one's overall intelligence. Just a fun little quiz. For instance, my weakness is the number sequence-based question. I just realised tonight that the reason I get stumped on some of them is because I forget to multiply the numbers be square and cubic roots when multiplication and division don't work. It's all about learning the tricks on how to answer a question, even if they claim that it's more based on common sense. There are some interesting-looking tests that try to get rid of cultural variation and problems such as these by using solely image sequences. I am not sure yet if this gets rid of confounding variables.

@Synch Well a lot of getting answers correct on those tests relies on seeing solutions that aren't apparent or obvious. At least that's been my experience. :)

I don't think I have a high IQ. Probably on the lower end of average. Maybe like 90? Possibly less. I remember my mother tried to get me an IQ test as a child because I struggled in school and she thought I might have been mentally challenged. They were unwilling to give me the test because I was considered black and their reasoning was that since the test was based on a white middle class family, it wouldn't be fair to me.

I don't have to test mine, I know it's below room temperature. 😇😂

151 on this test, which includes one wrong answer. I think very similar of these brief online tests. They're fun to play with and serve well as a distraction, but aren't very reflective of one's intelligence in general. Lengthy and more officially adopted tests may paint a more accurate picture of it, but they too have their own problems and shortcomings.

My mother tried to argue that's not the case with me because she's white and pulls in a middle class income by herself, my father had also passed, so I was essentially being raised in a white middle class family, but they still refused. I wish I knew more of the details, but I was so young and that's all she told me. Thanks though Synch! That's nice of you to think. 😊

Mine was measured at 3 different ages by psychiatrists.

[c=#4C0073]@ Leveler, now I'm taking all these personality tests and effectively wasting my time when I should be doing work, haha. I suppose that if one were to take enough tests in various different areas/categories, then they'd have a better grasp of their placement in the (Western) world's spectrum of intellect.[/c]

I highly doubt your IQ is 90. I can't believe the racial discrimination that exists :( 90 is pretty low, and you probably would not be typing that well or thinking this critically if it were anywhere near that number.
AnnaKarenina · 31-35, F
It doesn't really reflect on the individual, anyway. This test has so few questions that the difference between one person's score and the next person's might be as simple as a lucky guess or two.
Nonamefornow · 51-55, F
But then, generally online quizzes aren't 100% reliable. Just for fun, like giving you a light pat on the back after a hard day's work.

I wonder how many times did one have to change or delete their FB profile?🤔 (Let me put that to question/answer function)

Aren't these tests supposed to trick you? Part of judging IQ is seeing how well someone can think outside of the box.
AnnaKarenina · 31-35, F
Yeah, Anticure. I needed a change of pace online, since I temporarily deleted my Facebook page.

Minorities have always claimed that tests are biased.

IQ tests have too much math in it for my liking
TheProphet · M
Professional IQ tests are very accurate.
Last time I took one, it was 120. Average.
TheProphet · M
70 is considered retarded.
