I Love Winter

I've had enough of summer, I'm now looking forward to gorgeously crisp, cold mornings, the grass crunching lightly underfoot and the mists of my breath billowing gently up above my head. I want to see the pre-dawn sky a riot of salmon pink, orange and golden yellow against a backdrop of cool, azure blue as the high clouds catch the first rays from the rising sun and reflects them towards the dark earth below. That short period of time before the sun breaks over the horizon, holding the promise of a perfect winter's day. Promise of beauty to come.
