I Had A Nightmare That Seemed So Real

I can empathise with that. I've not dreamt of losing limbs but have had nightmares that were physically dangerous in driving me to escape in a panic from something. I've fallen downstairs in one, just stopped myself in time from climbing out of the first-floor bedroom window some 15 feet above a concrete yard, and in another nearly had my eye out on the corner of a small desk next to the bed.

Luckily, the stress I think that drove these dreams has long gone.
