1. We are tempted to share everything once we decide on the genuine nature of friendship.
2. That the person on the other end is genuine, will not guarantee your safety.
3. There will always be someone who dislikes you or her. If he is a techy you are doomed. Even a drop out electronic student can hack your accounts.
4. And there are numerous International Gangs, which hunt for vulnerable on line users. They gather the information, and eventually black mail the innocent chatters.
Just before a month, an elderly man wrought with boredom, got an on line friend from US, also aged. They just chatted explicitly. That's all. Nothing more than that happened. The hacker, whatever may have been his purpose, got every detail, including Photos and Videos, and black mailed him. When the demand was too much and could not send the amount, he posted them via email to all his relatives, including his only daughter. The matter took an ugly turn, and the daughter (30s), scolded him in the public view of several relatives.
And she has desisted from talking him or visiting him. He was devastated. Showed signs of Suicide. His poor wife, is now under stress of watching him 24 hours! The problem for me in this is I daily meet him, as he is my friend. I know he has done nothing wrong. But is that going to help?
