I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

Yeah, I got to see some foster homes when i worked at shelter during high school and most of the foster parents are standoffish. The kids get fed 3 times a day, have curfew, and get hand me downs....but no bonding or love at all. it’s not a family like atmosphere. The sad part is when kids that grow close together get split up eventually.

Sorry for your bad experience, but I know two foster families and they do care and honestly usually it's the fosters that get abused.

Can you file an official complaint against them? 😐 That sucks..

More needs to be done about this issue in general i think 😐

Definitely not always the case, but happens too often to be ignored.

The system is set up stupid. Not enough check ins, limited time with good environments and you age out overnight. Like a child can set themselves up for the future, let alone one that's been shuffled around constantly.

And you lived with every foster family in the nation right?

Very sad and often accurate.
