The last time that I was with you
I wish I would have known.
I would have said I love you,
and would have stayed longer.

If I only had more time,
the day you passed away,
I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile.
I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you,
not even for awhile.
I'd kiss your forehead,
And tell you that I'll miss you,
more than you'll ever know.

But you were gone so quickly,
We didn’t get to say goodbye,
I wish we’d hugged one last time,
I wish i was by your side,
when you were taking your last breath,
i wish i was in your country,
when you were getting buried,
leaving me to fight alone,
I know we will meet again,
But i wish we’d said goodbye..
