Ascent

Turpid temper’s pelting ink,
Long since beyond soothing scenes.
An aging tempest squall yet formed,
Angry rain on barren land.

Scree strewn hillside ‘s jagged lair
Traversing yet in pain of fire.
To the summit we yet flail.
Losing altitude each step higher.

Far beyond the reach of trees
Skinny air I yet gulp
When my feet are astride the top.
I feel heaven’s hum.

I did. That photo was taken during the ascent. Just as 70 mph winds and a white out popped up

@Texaspilot: That is amazing. Were you ever afraid with those weather conditions?

No. Not really. Focused tho
