I Want People to Share Their Poetry

The Darkness

As I sit here and ponder,
How another lessons learnt
While my perspective has been shifted,
And a mental reprieve, has been earnt

What will be my next darkness?
What will I conjure up?
What will take away this serenity?
Because I know lessons never stop

What demons will be unearthed?
What new battles must I wage?
In the theatre of my life
What new actors will take the stage?

Because waves are never ending,
And strength is built through the falls
Resilience grows in your spirit,
It helps you break through the walls

And rays of light will pierce the darkness,
It could be God or it could be gold
Like driftwood in the Ocean,
A piece of hope that you can hold

And always remember one thing,
Nature wins all in the end
It’s all just expansions and retractions,
And peace will be with you again
