A Flower For Me

I seen this flower bloom today.
I've been watching it day after day.
It started with just a see.
I planted it because I thought beauty I what I need.
I waited for days to see that sprout.
It made me happy to see those storm clouds.
Listening to the thunder pound.
Watching the rain come pouring down.
See the lightning intensify the sound.
This seedling, this sprout, this life filled bud.
Receiving its life, as it grows in the grass and mud.
These days have been long and mundane.
But this sprout just lives day by day.

Today this sprout has gained a leaf.
Before I know it, this flower will speak.
Of beauty, and hope, it makes me smile.
This wait is long, but worth all the while.
You see this sprout it's starting to bud.
I hope it holds the color of love.
I smile from ear to ear.
Knowing this flower is pure, as I shed a tear.

Today is the day this bud will bloom.
It opened up, it's a bright blue.
Just as I thought.
It's perfect, to every last rain drop.
It's full of beauty.
It gives me hope, truly.
This smile is not just a smile.
It's a smile, that was needed for a long while.
I could watch this life for the rest of its days.
Watch it glow and wisp in every which way.
This flower is a flower that blossomed for me.
This of beauty, and hope, is what it is meant to be.....
