Why do people like to drink?
Is it because people like the taste of alcohol or love the feeling of getting wasted?

I drank to get numb ,forget ,use a crutch to help me find some back bone ,to have an excuse for some of the cruel crap I let fly out of my mouth ,and an excuse for my advances to women just in case they said no ,I could blame it on the alcohol ,I used it to help me forget physical pain and then do stupid stuff that could kill me without thinking about it ,
but my Family was the best reason not to drink anymore ,,24 yrs sober and clean
my kids have never seen me drunk
but they have seen me do some amazing things sober ,as I said it was a crutch
and except mixed fruit type drinks ,I hate the taste
if my woman came in and I was in the dark drinking JD ,,
she know before morning someone was getting hurt and she stayed out of my way ,
Sober I hate hurting anyone ,on JD ,I'd fight Christ
you know the dumbest part
is a bunch of people can put on some killer albums sit there sober and tell everyone how boring the nigh was the next day ,all we did was listen to some albums
But throw in a case of beer and it was the best night ever
so if its was boring without the alcohol ,,does the alcohol just make us forget we were bored ?
But I love playing music for drunks ,,they do love to tip as long as I play their favorite song ,100 times in one night ,,I can live with that LOL

Mostly for the effects, then the taste is secondary I suppose... People drink what pleases their mouth.

Alcohol is a depressant. People don't want to feel the same all of the time. It relaxes them and makes them feel good.

I like the taste of some drinks. Never been wasted before, never will be. Just like to relax on the stuff a bit.
