Mexican street corn

I just tried Mexican-style street corn for the first time. From a food truck that visited our rural wide spot in the road in the rain. I'd long been intrigued by the idea of any kind of street food. I don't know how authentic this was. Pretty sure the corn was canned and then various things added. Wasn't bad. At $5 for a little cup it seemed high to me.

Street corn is usually mayo, some sour cream, lime and some spices. Different but good. If they pop by again maybe take a shot at soft taco. Most food trucks nail those.

I like to go to Nando's Peri Peri and get grilled chicken and grilled corn on the cob. Mmm.

Elote...Have vendors here that sell it as well. Quite high prices as well. 🤷‍♀️

I just ordered this recently. I would have preferred it off the cob...but it was delicious 🤤🌽

@SW-User I don't know what I mean! It was simply advertised as Mexican street corn. The menu also included tacos, burritos, fried quesadillas, nachos, sopes. I had tasted all of those things except the sopes at other places. I was not really hungry so this time I limited myself to the corn.

If canned corn is used, I'm thinking it's not authentic. I'm pretty sure Mexican-style street corn is made from fresh corn.
