Not for vegans/vegetarians Anyone else prefer to debone a chicken with their hands?

Not only is it easier and faster but I prefer the hands on approach

Edit: cooked chicken not raw lol

Raw chicken? It's hard to debone it *without* a knife
Lol

SW-User

Lol
SW-User
Yep

Obviously health and safety/ food hygiene at all times 🧼

But you’re right, preparing a chicken that way can create beautiful dishes 😌♥️

@SW-User I agree, can give the dish a more rustic look. And yes hand must be washed and surfaces wiped down etc :)

I am a vegan this month but do you mean when the chicken is raw or cooked?
Beautifullyderanged · 36-40, F
@SW-User yeah should have specified lol I mean cooked :)
SW-User
@Beautifullyderanged Yes then hands are the best tool. I have deboned raw drumsticks to use the bones for broth and the meat for other things. For that I use a small sharp knife to cut the skin and rendon, then hand power to roll the meat over the end of the bone, then the knife again.

Yes and 🤢
Beautifullyderanged · 36-40, F
@SW-User why 🤢?
SW-User
@Beautifullyderanged I'm squeamish
Beautifullyderanged · 36-40, F
@SW-User ah ok :)
SW-User
I'm not a fan of touching raw poultry more than necessary.

@SW-User what if it was cooked?
SW-User
@Beautifullyderanged cooked is fine. I can use my hands or utensils. Doesn't matter.
