Hands Released

The feeling of nothing as they let go.
Holding hands releasing slow.
Love assurance drifting away.
Empty hand feels in dismay.
Cold air where once was heat.
Fingers were wrapped in perfect seat.
Comfort felt right to the heart.
Heavy footsteps now will start.
Hand feels lost with no guide.
Place in pocket try to hide.
