You hate me
You say its true
But what if it's not you?
What if it's the tired in your eyes
Or the hate in your mind?
Or the lonelyness you feel at night?
What if it's because he's so far,
And all she does is cry?
Or you just don't have the heart?
I wish I knew so it can stop tearing me apart.
***I wrote this after my sister told me she hated me and she really meant it. "He" refers to her husband who is deployed right now and "she" is her first child who turned 1 in August.***
