I Want To Write A 10 Word Story [Write A 10 Word Story]

"There's no happy ending."

"Maybe. I'll take the happy now."
Happy now, happy later, in the end you would at the very least have been happy. It seems it would be very difficult not to have a happy end when everything that lead up to that end would have been happy.

And who knows, maybe there very simply is no end, in that case maybe happiness is in fact eternal regardless of what your beliefs might be.

@CesareBorgia nice logic!

I’d rather take the happiness now - “later” is not guaranteed.
@SmartKat I was vacationing once, on a beach in a country in which being "poor" was more common than not. And yet, happiness everywhere even for the children who never had enough to eat.

They made their own happiness, I was watching them for hours playing a very simple game in where they would follow adults who had much longer strides, jumping from footstep to foot step, landing on a single foot first left, then right, etc. It seemed the rules were that when someone fell, or jumped outside the footstep, they were out until only one person was left. Then they would start all over again.

For hours these kids played this game, laughing, smiling, enjoying themselves truly in the most simple of ways. There is a lesson in this. Happiness is how you choose to perceive things. Happiness is all around us, guaranteed, even under the very worst conditions all we have to do is choose to see it rather than see something else. So happiness is in fact guaranteed now, and later...
