I Would Easily Spend a Whole Day Curled Up With a Good Book

I have actually done this, especially when I read the Twilight series. I didn't care my hubby would make a face at me. I loved the story. I would sit comfortably on the sofa with the book in my lap and all the world around me would slowly melt away.

I must admit, that happens every time I read books. The world melts away.
I would look up at the clock and wow! where did the time go. I put my bookmark in, close the book, and cook dinner. Another thing I love to do.

I know exactly what you mean. I have recently rediscovered the joy of reading. For a very long time I couldn't read, because even the large print books were too small to see, so I listened to audio books instead. Then I got my cataracts removed and tried reading again, but still, although I could see the words, they were still too small, and I'd find my eyes quitting on me after less than half an hour. Now I have installed a kindle app on my android tablet and I can make the print large enough to see easily. I'm reading far into the night, now.

By the way, I just finished a very good book. It's one by Eva Pohler and it's called The Mystery Box, a soccer mom's nightmare. I got it free from Amazon's Kindle store. They have thousands of free ebooks, for android or Apple.

@sighmeupforthat: The main thing I have against kindle is that you have to get your material from a single source. I have an eBook reader that can read a number of formats and I can get my books from various places. Most of them that I have are in text and have over 5000 books on mine.

@MasterDvdC: I get some of mine from Amazon. Some from the library. Some from other sources. The reason being, I don't have a Kindle device. I have a Kindle app on my Android. I also have Overdrive and on my iPad, I have something else that I'm not sure of the name, but it just looks like an open yellow book.
