I Consider My Pets Family

Samson, AKA: Sambo, Sambino, Sambroseph, Samonovski, Samsonovich, Samalomadingdong, Sam, Sammy, The Great Sambeanie.

Maybelle, AKA: Maybug, wittle girl, Bitty....she's fairly new so we're still working on new aliases.

My boy was a gas station puppy. I call him a gas station puppy even though he was a year old (according to the vet upon initial visit after we took him in)when we found him. This guy loves his dad. My wife loves to record him going to sit on the arm of the couch and stare out the window around the time I am suppose to pull in the drive. He goes nuts when I open the door to greet him, he wags his tail and whines until he has received the appropriate amount of hugs and kisses from me upon our glorious reunion. He then darts to his favorite toy "The Duck" and leads me outside for some throw...I would love to say fetch but we're still working on the bringing it back part. I love every second of it because he had a rough first year of life and when we got him he didn't know how to play. He didn't know what toys were or what to do with them, he was scared of play. Until that awesome day we had a break through with a stuffed snake...from there he has blossomed and is a top notch playmate! Once inside he lays on the kitchen floor watching mom and dad cook supper then once we sit down to eat he lays on my feet the entire meal. After dinner and taking care of the home chores he has to lay beside me with his head in my lap while watching tv with his family. This guy is something special and ever loving and loyal.

Maybelle: Our dear sweet devilish bitty! We got her several months back. She is our hell hound. Ever playful...and vocal. Its okay though I love to hear that little beagle bay. She was little miss independent from day one! At least as far as her Momma and Daddy is concerned, she happens to be quit attached to her big brother. She needs food water and toys and absolutely will not tolerate any such nonsense like cuddling, playing with humans or training. At least not until her bed time then she is gracious enough to allow us to hold her as she quietly drifts to sleep while we are watching tv. She is miss personality. She rules this world until a thunder storm or fireworks send her running to Dad.

I love these guys, they are my breath of fresh air at the end of a long hard day of peopling. They fill me with pride as I witness more and more of their individual personalities each day. And melt my heart when they quietly climb in my lap for a quick cuddle and a nap.
