Why can't we choose what our bodies end up like during puberty?

Lol, given the ages puberty starts it would be really interesting to see what the next generation looks like. Pretty sure we'd be seeing a lot of very strange features. I'm not bashing the kids today, I know my gen would have also made ridiculous choices at that age. I mean, we did think frosted tips looked good. Thank heavens that's not permanent.

I got into puberty late. Always looked like a little kid until end of high school
