I Am a Mother

My heart goes out to a friend that lost his son to overdose today. He had been struggling with addiction for years. I hugged my own kids extra tight before bed tonight.

my brother went the same way
heroin, first day out of prison
was over a decade ago my mum still not over it
for me it was a relief when he died
i wish your friend strength and courage at this terrible time

So sorry to hear about your brother. I can understand the relief though, I know what you mean. It was heroin for this young man too. He had been in prison, the hospital and rehab so many times. Thank you
