This is why a guy I met back in the 60s lived in a telescope on the U. of Washington campus. He just tilted in to 180 degrees, removed the lens, slipped some foam rubber and a sleeping bag into it and caught a good night's sleep. If anyone asked him where he lived, he just said he was living on campus. And that he had a great view.
