I Have Personal Superstitions

Do you think if you take a baby to the cemetery before it is a year old it can cause illness or even death to the baby?

My MIL is freaking out cause I want to take my daughter to the cemetery with me Sunday.

I think she is so full of her superstitions that it is a wonder she gets any taxes done, 馃槀 but what do you all think?

No connection whatsoever. My daughter took her four month old son to a cemetery ,about 5 months ago and the son is quite hale and hearty today, its about time we got over all this superstitious BS.

Out of respect for MiL, consider going near so the spirits are with you but not actually going in. Superstitions that agents accept and truly embrace can actually gain some causal efficacy. Be careful. All the power of a superstitious anti-science belief comes from believing the superstition. They have no powers we don't grant to them. But, once we relate to them and wonder whether they might be true, then they can have real world effects.
