I had forgotten about this sweet song by "The Queen of Soul" until it was played in a year-end retrospective about the entertainers and other prominent and accomplished people we lost in 2018.
Ms. Franklin not only performed the song, but she wrote it as well. It was written about Dennis Edwards of The Temptations, who later said he made a mistake in not marrying her. She told him, "you sure did" .
Sadly, we lost both Aretha Franklin and Dennis Edwards last year.
