I Would Rather Be Alone Than Be With the Wrong Person

To wake up everyday next to someone who denies you space to be yourself and is controlling and abusive must be a living nightmare. If you're not sure or have to leave, loneliness may be the price to begin with and learning again to be yourself and not an appendage to another life will be a challenge. But sometimes relationships just don't have the foundations of trust and openness to be repaired. Time taken to learn about each other in a holistic way before committing is never wasted and the chances of waking up with someone you cherish and who values you are much higher. Until then your own company might be best - but there are always good friends for those fortunate to have them.
