I Love Poetry
My Wish For You
If I could have one wish for you
To make your life complete
I'd wish that you have happiness
Where ever you set your feet
I wouldn't wish for riches
Tho' money might be nice
Money can't buy happiness
No matter what the price
I'd not wish away sorrow
For sorrow makes us grow
The tears we shed in sadness
Are part of life's ebb and flow
My wish would be for laughter
To see the joy in life
To giggle at misfortune
To smile in times of strife
Then when things get darkest
And you think you can't go on
Think of me making faces
Or dressed as a leprechaun
Live your life with happiness
And know that I love you
Each time I hear you laughing
I'll know my wish came true
If I could have one wish for you
To make your life complete
I'd wish that you have happiness
Where ever you set your feet
I wouldn't wish for riches
Tho' money might be nice
Money can't buy happiness
No matter what the price
I'd not wish away sorrow
For sorrow makes us grow
The tears we shed in sadness
Are part of life's ebb and flow
My wish would be for laughter
To see the joy in life
To giggle at misfortune
To smile in times of strife
Then when things get darkest
And you think you can't go on
Think of me making faces
Or dressed as a leprechaun
Live your life with happiness
And know that I love you
Each time I hear you laughing
I'll know my wish came true
