take a lover
sheerhot · 70-79, M
@Starlight016: I'm sure you do. Don't sell yourself short.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@sheerhot: sure 👌

why not?

What's something that really gets you going...? Something you are passionate about...? Find a social group/charity to get involved with that works that "thing" you are passionate about. Maybe it's animal shelters. Child abuse. Autism awareness. Whatever it is, GO DO GOOD FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.

Not only will you make it a better place to live, but you will find people who feel the same as you, making it easier to find people who will care about you, too.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@GwydionFrost: nah.. I prefer to be an ordinary civil for now 😄

Good for you 👍 😊
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
@Starlight016: Yes, good for me. Not so sure how it's working out for them. LOL
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@GwydionFrost: because you are a good leader :)

learn something new!! learn to play an instrument, find something that interests you and research it. volunteer somewhere, do some traveling, there is always something to do that you can enjoy.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
I am not into art or music.
Already been busy & tired after work.
Travelling needs money which is not cheap. Lol
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
what about a hobby you can learn and enjoy close to home ?
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
I don't have any hobbies.
I did like playing games, read comics, watched films when I was younger. But those do not interest me any longer.. 😔
SW-User
Do you have any hobbies that perhaps you could find local clubs to join?

Maybe take an evening class in something that interests you?
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@W4nderer: u r right.. When I was younger.. I liked playing games, watched TV & movies, read comics. But none of those really interest me anymore now.. 😔
SW-User
What about joining a gym or a local sports club? It will get you out meeting new people or look into evening classes it will help to widen the circle of friends and perhaps there maybe some social occasions as a result.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@W4nderer: I am not really into sport 😜 I rarely exercise 😔
argav83 · 36-40, M
With friends may be.
argav83 · 36-40, M
@Starlight016: Don't you guys meet outside of office. U gotta have some people.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@argav83: things change. We have less time as we started to work & would tend to spend it with family.. More over when my friends are married already.
argav83 · 36-40, M
@Starlight016: Well in that case...have fun here on this site...like a lot of us here. FYI I do have friends...lol

@Starlight016: speaking from experience work isnt the be all and end all, I used it as a distraction from some issues in my life previously and that proves detrimental to other area's of my life.

However focussing on a career is a good idea but all work and no play isnt healthy.
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
No interests :)
But I do visit my family sometimes & have vacation once in awhile, so I am fine.
Thank you :)
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
you need interests
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@MartinTheFirst: I have many friends, I don't have any interests, I do spend most of my time by working.. But I don't see why spending time by working is considered as wasting time 🤔 lol

Oh.. I am sorry for you 😔
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Starlight016: then you got nothing to worry about i guess

it's okay
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
@MartinTheFirst: yes I guess so.. Just a confession though 😄
SW-User
@Starlight016: you aren't making this easy are you? :p

Volunteering as some others have suggested may be a way forwards
Starlight016 · 36-40, F
I am tired & dead tired already like no personal life.. and already think too much for work 😜

I think I will focus more on career at my current age :)

No. As I think that I am being here because of fate.. And I did not have an easy path at my earlier career, unlike the most job.. So I don't want to waste my hard work. :)
